I went with a tour group consisting of 16 people. Its a good way to see everything in a short period of time, but because you're in a tour, you have a time schedule. Next time I go down I will take the bus in the morning spend a night and take the bus back the following day. Anyway, it was great. At ten o'clock in the morning we went into a winery for some wine tasting. A great way to start the day... After that we went to Niagara on the Lake for some lunch. We weren't there too long. After Niagara on the Lake the tour bus went to the rapids, but five of us got off before that to go on a helicopter tour of Niagara. A little expensive but well worth it. You see everything... After the Helicopter ride it was off to Niagara. Its definately the better view from the Canadian side, no matter what anyone tells you.. But the best view of all is from beneath. For $13 you can take a boat trip very close to the bottom of the waterfall. Thats what you must do. And that was my day..... Baseball http://www.snaque.com/canada/010.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/010.html Tue, 20 May 2008 18:37:00 GMT Day 18, Went down to a baseball game today... it was only $2 so I said why not. The game started at 7:07 and there was still an hour remaining when some of left at 9:20. It was quite boring but at least I can say that I went to a baseball game. I will be going to Niagara falls on friday so hopefully the weather will be good... 14th May 2008 - Moving http://www.snaque.com/canada/009.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/009.html Wed, 14 May 2008 18:37:00 GMT Day 11, Moving again. This time I'm moving out of the hostel and into a room in a flat. Its a nice room on the third floor with a good view of the area. Hopefully it will be ok. Its not too far from the Irish bar either so thats a plus. I will be moving in this evening at about 6pm. Thats about it for today. The past week has been kinda quiet. 7th May 2008 - PJ O'Briens http://www.snaque.com/canada/008.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/008.html Wed, 7 May 2008 18:37:00 GMT Day 6, today was all about moving. My hotel stay has finished so its off to the hostel. The hostel is pretty cool. Just a little out from the city center. Not too expensive either. After I got settled in the hostel I set about getting ready to meet one of Tom's contacts in PJ O'briens bar. I got to the bar at about 8:30. Sat down at the bar to enjoy a pint of Kilkenny. About two sips into my pint I was approached by some Irish people. The craic was mighty. After PJ O'Briens we went to a Chinese Restaraunt and had barbequeed duck and rice. Mighty craic. 6th May 2008 - Museum http://www.snaque.com/canada/007.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/007.html Tue, 6 May 2008 18:37:00 GMT Day 5, Went walkabouts today, over to the College campus to see if they were renting any rooms for the summer. They were pretty expensive though. I booked myself into a hostel for an extra four nights. Give me some time fo find a place. It took about have an hour to walk from downtown Toronto back to my hotel, which isn't bad. I went into the Royal Ontario Museum at about 2:30 and left it about 4. The place is huge. 5th May 2008 http://www.snaque.com/canada/006.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/006.html Mon, 5 May 2008 18:37:00 GMT Day 4, Went downtown yet again, and on another free tour of the city. Also went looking for somewhere to live long term. Lots of hopefuls. 4th May 2008 http://www.snaque.com/canada/005.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/005.html Sun, 4 May 2008 18:37:00 GMT Day 3, I went Downtown Toronto again today and went on a different Toronto tour taking in part of the bay by boat. Weather was pretty good but had a cool breeze which at times wasn't all that good. Saw more of the city too. I also made a trip up the CN Tower, the world's largest free standing structure. Has an amazing view of the city. Wouldn't want to be afraid of heights. After that I went into Fionn Mc Cool's Irish bar for a pint. The dinner menu looked a bit too classy for me, so I ate in my usual spot, Spirits bar and grill, just up from my hotel. Great food. 3rd May 2008 http://www.snaque.com/canada/004.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/004.html Sat, 3 May 2008 18:37:00 GMT Day 2, I went Downtown Toronto today and availed of my free Toronto tour. Weather wasn't great, overcast for the most part and raining for the rest. Still, its a good way to see the city. The subway is quite handy as well. Two blocks away from my hotel. The weather is supposed to be better tomorrow so I think I'll head downtown again. 2nd May 2008 http://www.snaque.com/canada/003.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/003.html Fri, 2 May 2008 08:37:00 GMT I am writing this blog from 35,000 feet. Its a first for me. Its a little bit bumpy here as we cross the atlantic ocean and head for the eastern coast of North America. I boarded a BMI flight at Dublin Airport this morning at 6:15. We left Dublin at 7:15 and arrived into London Heathrow at about 8:30. I had a nice walk from terminal 1 to terminal 3 but I had time to spare. I boarded Air Canada at 11:00am and because of heavy airport traffic we were slightly delayed. The wind is in our favour so we are making up some time on our trip accross. I won't be putting this online until I settle in Toronto, which hopefully will be this evening. And then maybe I'll take a little nap. I've been up for 26 hours so far. Its 4pm - Dingle Time.... 21st April 2008 http://www.snaque.com/canada/002.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/002.html Mon, 21 Apr 2008 18:37:00 GMT I have booked my flights to Toronto, hotel is booked and so too is my travel insurance. I will be flying out at the beginning of May. 17th March 2008 - St Paddy's Day http://www.snaque.com/canada/001.html http://www.snaque.com/canada/001.html Mon, 17 Mar 2008 18:37:00 GMT Hi, my name is Ciaran Fitzgerald and this is my first entry to my travel blog.
